Although I'm supposed to study for my exams these days, I'm going to London for a couple of days :-) Just relaxing for a short while before the exam mania starts.

LET'S GO ON A ROAD TRIP!

Again :-) I'm on my way as we speak to visit my friend Alexandra in Aalborg, Denmark. She's studying there for the semester. I'm going with my friends Lisa, Yannick, Alici and Valentine. As you may remember, we went on a road trip last year as well to visit Yannick in Lyon :-) I guess road trips are kinda our thing!

Judging from the pictures I found on the internet, I'm going to love Aalborg! Those houses are so cute :-)

MAGIC EVERYWHERE

I'm back and I've had the most magical time! There's just something about Disneyland Paris that keeps you want to stay young forever and be a princess for real :-) I love the atmosphere there (deliciously fake :-)) and the fact that everybody is happy all the time! Sounds corny, I know :-)

We did a lot of attractions (tea cups and flying dumbo's!!), visited the castle of Sleeping Beauty and the houses of Snow White and Pinocchio, fought alongside Buzz Lightyear in the war against Emperor Zurg and so on and so forth. BUT we also made some new friends :-)

IT'S A SMALL WORLD...

Who doesn't know the song, right?? I will be going to DISNEYLAND PARIS this weekend! It's been years since I've been there, I don't remember that much :-) But I'm sure things will look familiar when I get there. I will be going with my sisters and I've already written down every attraction I really want to do! The parade especially, is something I'm looking forward to :-)

GONE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS

Ok, since I had my last exam yesterday, I just need to get away for a couple of days :-) We've been going to  Oostduinkerke since my sisters and I were adorable little babies. I don't think I will get as tanned as when I came back from Italy in July (check picture :-)), but let's hope the rain will take a few days off! It's bad enough I had to miss the latest heat wave here in Belgium, due to my resits.

Remember last year's post? I think we're going to have the same scenario this year :-)

The moment I want to relive: just laying by the pool, looking all tanned and all:

HERBEUMONT

My parents, my sister, my grandmother and I went to Herbeumont on Sunday. In the good old days, my grandparents, my dad and his sisters and brother went there on holiday a couple of times. My grandmother wanted to see the small town again, so we decided to make a day out of it. We walked alongside the Semois and had lunch in a typical Ardennes brasserie, while my grandmother kept telling stories about their holidays and how much she remembered. Good times!

I wore a simple look, perfect to do some hiking (uhm uhm). I know I'm standing on those rocks like a boss, but I have to be honest. I did almost fall in the water. Those rocks are slippery as hell! My shoes were soaking wet the rest of the day!

DANCING AROUND

I wore my new dress last week to visit San Giuliano Terme, the little town where our vacation house was located. We've already spent a week there, 5 years ago. But we decided to go there again this year and I'm glad we did! Such a fantastic place, with an amazing view! The house is located on a hill, and you can see Pisa and the sea very clearly. And at night, the lights are just stunning!

BACK HOME

I just got back from Italy, and I already miss it! Unfortunately, people weren't overreacting when they said the weather in Belgium was terrible. In Italy, temperatures got up to 35°C, so you can imagine that we're freezing our asses off right now :-)

Unfortunately I had no access to the internet these last few days, so I couldn't keep you posted on my, well, tanning progress, but I also had prepared a couple of posts so you'll be seeing them first. I'll post the outfits I wore in Italy later :-) And my purchases of course!

PACKING

I'm leaving again, this time the destination is Italy :-) I can't wait to just sit by the pool, read my books and study a bit (driver's licence, ugh :-( ), eat a lot of pasta and ice cream and just relax! We're going to Lyon first, but on Saturday we'll be going to a little village near Pisa!

I'm actually impressed by my packing skills! I've managed to pack "light", since we're only going for one week. :-)

QUICK VISIT

I'm off to London today to go to a concert tonight. Do you know McFly? My sister Eva and I have been following them for years! This will be the sixth time that we will see them performing live! We've been to Sheffield, Weston super Mare, Southend-on-Sea... All over Britain actually :-)
This time their tour stops in London on a Friday, so of course I'm going again :-) And this time, my other sister Sara will be joining us.

LITTLE TRIP TO THE UK

I'm off to England again, for the rest of the week! We're going to visit Highclere Castle (Used in Downton Abbey) first and on Wednesday, we'll continue our trip to London :-)

Have you ever seen the show Downton Abbey? Well, we (my family and I) are kind of obsessed with it. I love costume dramas and I always imagine myself living in those times and wearing their clothes :-)

PARIS JE T'AIME

Paris was AMAZING!! The weather, the people, the food, the atmosphere.. everything was just perfect!
Too bad it's back to reality right now, since I have loads to do for school this weekend :-(

IN A COUPLE OF HOURS...

I will be in Paris :-) Unfortunately I won't be able to act like a proper tourist (probably no shopping spree for me..) because it is a school trip! We have a lot to do but I hope I can squeeze in a "visit" to a typical Parisian store or something :-)

I just know this trip is going to be awesome! Not only are we going to one of my favorite cities in the whole wide world, our hotel is located in Montmartre! Meet the new Amélie Poulain ;-)

LAST COUPLE OF DAYS

London was, as usual, fantastic!! That city never lets me down :-)

What are you looking at?

1. This house had a beautiful front! I love the colors they used. 
2. The best cupcakes! This little shop is actually next to the apartment building where my sister is staying for the next 4 months. 
3. Another cool decoration of a wall :-) 
4. Best fish and chips ever! I'm not an expert, I've only ate f&c a couple of times before but these were sooooo good :-) And the decoration of the little 'restaurant' was so cute! It was like we went back in time, to the late '40s! (Poppies of  Spitalfields! If you should ever be around Spitalfields, I highly recommend going there :-))
5. I also went to Somerset House, hoping to spot some celebs but unfortunately we were almost totally alone at the place and it was freezing!! So we decided not to wait for the shows to end.. Maybe we'll have more luck next year :-)

Can't wait to go back there! (ok, it's already in a couple of weeks, I don't have any reason to complain :-))
